Shirley Ann Zimmer

Shirley was born October 29, 1935 in Canton to the late Clyde and Cleo (Steffan) Zwallen. She was a graduate of North Canton High School, Class of 1953. She was the homecoming queen in 1953. She celebrated 66 years of marriage to Walter A. Zimmer. She loved to travel, cruises, and winters in Florida. Shirley and Bud loved to dance at Myers Lake to the big bands.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two sisters, Vera and Lynn. She is survived by her husband, Walter "Bud" Zimmer; children, Debbie and Randy Hendershot, Diane and Doug Matako, Denise Zimmer and Denny Baker, Jeff and Lori Zimmer; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Shirley will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, Ohio 44718. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 241 South Main Street, North Canton, OH 44720. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Hospital in her memory.

Shirley will be laid to rest in Liberty Cemetery, Paris Township, Ohio.
