She was born July 9, 1943 in Canton, Ohio to the late Frank and Betty (Bair) Pyles. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family. Rhoda and her husband Walter took many enjoyable trips to Florida over the years. She earned the nickname “Retail Rhoda” for her love of shopping. Rhoda was also a member of St. Michael’s Parish.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter T. Schoeppner; and son, Walter T. Schoeppner, Jr. She is survived by her children, Carrie Devoll of Canal Fulton, John M. (Elisa) Schoeppner, and Christina M. (Eric) Davis, of Jackson Township; daughter-in-law, Terri Schoeppner of Massillon; twelve grandchildren, Michael (Vanessa), Matthew (Bree), Allison, Robert, Amanda, Lindsay, Emma, Michael, Marisa, Kaitlyn, Christopher and Cody; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey and Alexa Devoll; sisters, Jeannette (Sam) Ramaglia, Cecil (Richard) Pence, Betsy Pyles, Frankie Eakins; brothers, Jay (Carol) Pyles and Earl (Sue) Pyles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Monday, December 21, 2015 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 3430 St. Michael Dr. NW, Canton. Entombment in Sunset Hills Burial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 1-4pm in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home or 10-11am on Monday at St. Michael’s. A luncheon will be held at St. Michael’s following the entombment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Walter T. and Rhoda P. Schoeppner Scholarship Fund, c/o Central Catholic High School, 4824 Tuscarawas St W, Canton, OH, 44708 or Rose Lane Nursing Home.
