Peggy Teagarden Swonger

Peggy was a graduate of Jackson High School, Class of 1958, and continued her education for a year at Canton Business College. She was a retired Real Estate secretary, a former board member, Board of Christian Life Chairman, and pianist of Louisville Church of the Nazarene. Peggy’s favorite passage of scripture was Philippians 4:13: “I can do everything through him who gives me strength”.

She is survived by her children, Richard C. (Jan Davis) Swonger, Jr. of North Carolina, and Elizabeth A. (John) Miller of Ohio; grandchildren, Jessica L. (Brian) Gonser, and Matthew J. Campbell; soon to be born great-granddaughter, Lilah Jean Gonser; sisters, Marlene (Roy) Skidmore of Virginia, and Carol Sue (Bill) Taylor of New York.

Friends may call from 1-4pm on Sunday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Following cremation, a private burial service will be held at Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312, or the National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org).
