She was born February 3, 1943 in Akron, Ohio to the late Claude and Mary (Carson) Ruckman. Patty was a graduate of Hower Vocational School, Class of 1961, where she gained vocational experience in commercial art. As a child, she enjoyed horseback riding, and spending time with her family. She loved the outdoors, and her church. Patty was dedicated to her late husband, Allen V. Murdock, whom she married on July 5, 1962 in Paramount, CA. Her greatest accomplishment was her family to whom she was dedicated her whole life.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and David Ruckman; step-granddaughter, DeAnna Harris; and sister-in-law, Wendy Deckert. She is survived by her children, Robert and Crystal Murdock, Brian Murdock, Jennifer (Murdock) and Greg Harris; grandchildren, Leah, Justin, Charlotte, Patrick, Chrissy, and Logan; step-grandson, Gregory; great-grandchildren, Sky-Lynne, Kail, Saffryn, Colton, Korbyn, Robert, and Mason; sister, Lois Tucker; sisters-in-law, Sue (Glen) Phillabaum and Janet Ruckman; brother-in-law, Douglas (Becky) Murdock; close friend, Priscilla Custer; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Monday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Masks are required; social distancing will be practiced; and gathering limits will be enforced.
