After a lifetime of loving and caring for others, Mary Jane Kaufman, 80, passed into the loving and caring arms of our Lord on December 12, 2011 surrounded by her family and friends. She has been reunited with the love of her life, Wayne R. Kaufman, and her parents, Jeanette and Michael who died too soon, leaving Mary Jane to care for her seven brothers and sisters at the age of 16 years old. Mary Jane was born November 5, 1931. She loved gambling (slots), bingo, and loved her trips to Las Vegas, but nothing meant more to her than her family. Holidays and family get togethers brought out the best in her. Every day of her life was spent surrounded by her family. She was the heartbeat of both her immediate and extended family.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Junior and Joe; her sister Delores; and her great-grandson, Max. She is survived by her three children, Steve (Penny) Edwards of North Canton, Shelly Escola of North Canton, and Jon (Kristi) Kaufman of San Mateo, California; three grandchildren, Michelle (Jason) Rowland of Cincinnati, Jodie (Chris) Fodor of Springboro, and Jessie Wolf of North Canton; seven great-grandchildren: Braden, Bryce, Autumn, Reid, Callianne, Janey and Stella; brothers and sisters, Margaret (Jim), Theresa, Barbara, Jeanette, and John, and many special friends and extended family including her dear friends, Diane and Louise.
