Kathryn Katie Joyce McCalmont

She was born June 3, 1941 in Glens Falls, NY to the late Philip and Florence (Russell) Deloria. Katie was a secretary for 27 years for Plain Local Schools. She was a member of Church of the Lakes United Methodist, where she was active in the Prayer Shawl and Prayer Chain ministries. Katie was a volunteer for the Canton Calvary Mission, and for the literacy program for Canton City Schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family and pets, and quilting, gardening, and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, David P. Mock. She is survived by her husband, Donald McCalmont; children, Philip Mock, and Shelley (Charles) Cheton; step-sons, Christopher and Geoffrey (Julie) McCalmont; grandchildren, Carly and Spencer Cheton, and Ryan and Mira McCalmont; sister, Anne (Ernie) Brown; and brother, Philip Deloria.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday at Church of the Lakes United Methodist, 5944 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton, OH 44718 with Dr. Bryan George officiating. Friends may call from 9-11am Monday, two hours before services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Humane Society, 5100 Peach St NE, Louisville, OH 44641 or Church of the Lakes United Methodist Prayer Shawl group.
