Helen Louise Alex

Helen was born October 11, 1929 in Canton to the late Lester and Elsa (Schneider) Richards. Helen was a graduate of the 1947 class of North Canton High School. She worked as the secretary for Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church for over 20 years until she retired. Helen also volunteered over 15,000 hours at Mercy Hospital. In her free time, Helen enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Helen is survived by her four children: Richard (Stacie) Alex, Karen Alex, James Alex, and Steven (Karen Sutherland) Alex; seven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Richards.

Calling hours for Helen will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Canton followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM with Pastor William Weidenbach, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown.
