His father, Kenneth, his paternal grandparents, Orin and Mildred, and his maternal grandparents, Franklin and Dorothy Slayman, preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Faye; son, Jeffrey Pauli; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr., Bentley, and Memphis; sister, Tammy (Jeff) Butcher; brother, Joseph Pauli; aunts and uncles (all Pauli children), Carol, Donna, Joanne, Marilyn, Shirley (deceased), Ronald, Gloria, Sharon, Pamela, Patricia, James (all from Ohio). Also, Aunt Fran (Slayman), who moved from Ohio to South Carolina.
Gary attended Field High School in Mogadore, Ohio, and later graduated from Marlington High School in Alliance, Ohio. Soon after graduating, he moved to Florida. He drove semi-trucks in Florida for many years winning safety awards (Gator Freight). He and his son, Jeff, loved to fish and bowl together. Gary moved back to Ohio to live in Marlboro Twp., Hartville, Ohio. He worked at AlterCare in Hartville, and delivered many pizzas. He had many friends, especially neighbors.
A visitation for Gary will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, Ohio 44718, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM, with his sister, Rev. Tammy Butcher officiating.
Gary will be laid to rest in Sunset Hills Burial Park Mausoleum, 5001 Everhard Road NW, Canton, Ohio 44718.
