Born on March 17, 1938, in Zanesville, Ohio, to parents Clarence and Lola Dillehay, she was married to her husband George Nourse for 58 years. She was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ in Canton, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Esther was passionate about love, life, and worship. She had a special place in her heart for cats, especially their beloved Beau. Esther loved covered bridges and lighthouses, enjoyed gardening, and going for walks by virtue of her love for nature. Her life was truly surrounded in love by friends and family.
Esther was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Crozier and Maxine Boehler; by her brothers, Dwight Dillehay, Donald Dillehay, and Robert Dillehay; and by her granddaughter, Teagan Nourse. She is survived by her husband, George Nourse; her brother, Wilmer Dillehay and wife, Joan; her daughter, Rebecca Barfield and husband, Robin; her son, Russell Nourse and wife, Melissa; her grandchildren, Julie Pinto and husband, Chris, Amy Evans, Bethany Evans, Miranda Arnett and husband, Ryan, Hailey Nourse; and one great grandchild, Tyler Pinto. She was honored to receive special care from the Moyer, Fox, and Park Village families.
She will be interred at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Northwest Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the direction of Karlo-Libby Funeral Home.
