Donald Donny David Grisez

Donny was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, and formerly employed by Gentek. He enjoyed playing golf; spending time with his children and grandchildren; and playing poker with his friends, Mike, Alex, Jeff, John, Glenn, and Rich. He will be remembered as a tireless volunteer, always eager to help others and to use his time and energy to improve his community.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Mike Forchione. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda; mother, Shirley; children, Jason (Megan), Sean (Lori), Heather (John), Brandon (Kate), and Ryan; grandchildren, Ethan, Isaac, Johnny, Cooper, Morgan, and Madison; brothers, Mark (Faye), and John ; sisters, Tomi, Merri (Brian), and Shelly (Gregg); sister-in-law, Sandy (Larry); brother-in-law, Russ; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Mercy Hospice, and to the wonderful people in our lives who helped with Donny’s care.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Following cremation, interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call one hour before services Thursday (10-11am) in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donny’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 925 South Main Street, North Canton, OH 44720.
