Dennis Carl Johnstone

Dennis was born in Carrollton, on September 6, 1939, to the late Carl E. and Katheryn (Magnetto) Johnstone. He was a graduate of the 1957 class of Timken High School. He married Margaret Hinderer on June 22, 1961 and they enjoyed 63 years of marriage together. He worked for over 43 years in the Hoover Company's Drafting and Engineering Department until he retired in 2001. After he retired, Dennis and his wife moved to Florida and lived there for 18 years before they came back to Ohio. He loved to spend his time camping, fishing, and enjoying time with his wife and family. He also liked working on cryptograms and woodworking.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, four children: Deborah (James) Vogel, Dana (Scott) Carmichael, Darcelle (Todd) Moncrief, and Dustin Johnstone; seven grandchildren: Bradley (Grace), Steven (Alena), Scott, Ethan, Maggie, Garrett, and Anna; two great-grandchildren, Nellie and Clara, and one sister, Kathy Hosler.

Calling hours for Dennis will be held at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm and on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
