Cheryl Layne Grannis Spears

Cheryl Layne Grannis Spears passed away peacefully on Saturday November 4th in Canton OH. She is survived by her husband Mark; son, Drew and daughter-in-law, Nicole Spears (and soon-to-arrive grandson Graham); sister, Sue Ellen Grannis of Aberdeen OH; and brothers, Rhodes Grannis of Cynthiana KY and Parker Grannis of Raleigh NC.

Cheryl was born in Maysville, KY and attended Morehead State University, graduating with a degree in horticulture science. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, and performed for many years in the Grace U.M.C. Bell Choir. She enjoyed playing cards, trivia games, family, friends and good music.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 7th at 2:00pm, at Church of the Lakes United Methodist Church. A public reception will follow at Grace United Methodist Church at 3:30. A private burial service will occur at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, Ohio 44708.
