

Age 62, of North Canton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2015 at Aultman Hospital, surrounded by loving family, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Willmar, Minnesota, on September 26, 1953. A loving, compassionate, and fiercely loyal wife, mother, and grandmother, Cheryl took great pride in her attention to detail, her drive and tenacity, her wonderful sense of humor, and very special bond with her daughter Hallie. Friends and family will remember her most fondly for her warm and caring nature and a laugh and smile that lit up any room.
Cheryl attended St. Cloud State College in St. Cloud, Minnesota, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Planning. She was employed by Central Allied Enterprises, Inc. and served as the Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors. Cheryl was involved in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and most recently, the Canton Women's Club. An active member of St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church, she volunteered in many capacities. She also enjoyed playing piano, cross stitching, and teaching both skills to her children and grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her father, John A. Woodhall Jr., and beloved Maltese companion, Boo. Cheryl is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerry, whom she met at college in St. Cloud, Minnesota; children Matthew (Jayme) of North Canton, Joseph of Canton, and Hallie of Columbus; grandchildren, Liana, Mari, Michael, and Janna. Also surviving are her mother, Donna I. Woodhall of Canton, siblings; John III (Diane) of Spicer, MN, and Susan of St. Paul, MN, Doug (Chris) of Canton, and Rob (Rhonda) of Louisville; and her nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family appreciates the attentive care and support Cheryl received from her doctors and nurses.
A memorial service honoring Cheryl's life will be held at St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church, 4600 Fulton Drive Northwest, Canton, on Tuesday December 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Doctor Bruce R. Roth officiating. Visitation with the family will be held two hours prior to the service. Those wishing to remember Cheryl may donate in her name to the St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church building fund.
