Charles Godfrey

He was born January 6, 1948 in Cartersville, GA to the late Nellie and C.L. Godfrey. Chuck was a graduate of McKinley High School, and retired from Ohio Power/AEP after 41 years. He enjoyed golfing, and traveling with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Randy and Larry; and sisters, Judy and Jane.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years (March 23), Irene Godfrey; sons, Lt Col. Brian (Celeste) Godfrey, and Greg (Sara) Godfrey; grandchildren, Catherine, Elizabeth, Calvin and Lauren; brother, Tim Godfrey; sister, Linda Kestel; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday, March 9th from 4:00-6:00pm in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. A brief memorial service will be held immediately following the calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or a charity of the donor’s choice.
