Carol Rose Criswell

Carol married Shelton Criswell (JR) and they moved to Canton, Ohio where they raised their two children.

Carol loved gardening and birds. She was active in the community, serving as a volunteer at her children’s school and as den mother for her son Brian’s Cub Scout den. She was later active with her neighborhood association and senior citizen social organizations.

Carol was the storyteller of the family, with a remarkable memory and a large collection of family stories. Our gatherings will be a little less rich without her.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, her four siblings - Oscar Marbais, Roderick Marbais, Arlene Shank and Virginia Crothers - her husband JR Criswell, long time dear friend Walter Zilman, son Brian Scott Criswell, and many other friends and family members. She is survived by her daughter Janice Griffin, three grandsons Stephen, Matthew and Samuel, and countless nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Friends may call from 1:30pm - 2:30pm on Sunday, March 3, 2024 in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:30pm at the funeral home. The family asks respectfully that flowers not be sent.
