He proudly served in WWII as an Army Air Corps gunner on B-24s and B-29s. He retired from Canton Local Schools.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Donna (Houtz) Neisel; his son, Raymond (Butch) Neisel; brothers and their spouses, William (Marie) Neisel, Frederick (Blanche) Neisel, Robert (Shirley) Neisel; and sisters and their spouses, Eva (Clyde) Conrad, Minnie (Harry) Baker, and Lillian (Leland) Penix.
He is survived by daughter, Barbara (Fred) Masuch; grandchildren, Christopher (Tamra) Neisel, Suzanne Neisel, Deborah (John) Barmess, and William Masuch; great-grandchildren, Celeste and Emma Lyndaker, and Logan and Nate Barmess; sister, Anna Courtright, and many nieces and nephews.
Respecting his wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private family service will be held with interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
