He was born in Louisa, KY in 1948 to the late Albert and Mabel (Colvin) Robinett. He graduated from Canton South High School (Canton, Ohio) in 1966. After graduation he enlisted in the Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1973 as a Staff Sergeant. He worked the rest of his career at Ohio Bell, retiring in 2000. In addition, he was a member of North Canton Chapel where he also volunteered.
Other than his family, his passions were good friends, good food, good wine, golf, sailing, woodworking, home remodeling projects, photography and working in his yard.
Along with his parents, Al was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years Ruth L. Robinett. He is survived by three sons, Brett Robinett, Jason Robinett (Christine), and Dustin Robinett (Denise); three grandchildren, Christopher (Shannon), Hannah and Jovie; one great-granddaughter, Ellie; two sisters, Karen Brooks (Gary) and Connie Barnes (Rich), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are entrusted to Karlo-Libby Funeral Home at 5000 Everhard Rd. NW, Canton, OH 44718. Family will greet friends and loved ones at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm with services to immediately follow.
