William Sherwin Epstein

William S. Epstein, 87, of South Florida, formerly of Newton, died on July 13, 2018, due to complications from a fall. Billy was the devoted husband of Sarah Ethel Epstein, former husband of Myrna Epstein of Newton, brother to Judy Epstein of New York, father to Marc and Annette Epstein of Sharon, Amy and Paul Holt of Newton, and Aaron Epstein of Israel. He was also Grandpa of Dana and Matt Starr, Zachary Holt, Paul Epstein (deceased), and step-grandfather to Avidan Edelsberg, Daniel Edelsberg and Kerren Edelsberg, and uncle to Melissa Lebow (deceased), Stacie Simon, and Adam and Lauren Epstein and great grandpa to Syren Edelsberg. A Northeastern University graduate, he always loved being on the Huskies hockey team, as the team manager. Hardworking and determined, Billy turned his NEU co-op internship at Pilgrim Plastics into a 45-year career in the specialty advertising business. He took great pride in his roles as Executive VP of Pilgrim Plastics, Chairman of the Board for the Specialty Advertising Association, founding member of WRAPP-V, where he planned industry sales incentive trips around the world. He was also a past master of the Adelphi Masonic Lodge. His family fondly remembers him as a man on the move, who loved his Big Macs, chip shot tennis backhand and fancy dance moves. Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA, on Tuesday, July 17th at 11am. Burial at Sharon Memorial Park. Shiva will be held at the home of Marc and Annette Epstein, 41 Wilshire Drive, Sharon on Tuesday immediately following burial until 7pm, and on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
