Robert Allen Shedd

Robert Allen Shedd, 96, formerly of Framingham, Massachusetts, beloved husband of the late Marcia (Orisman) Shedd and loving companion of Cynthia Pearlberg, died peacefully on Friday, January 26, 2024.

Born in Boston on September 11, 1927, he was the son of the late Samuel and Alice Shedd.

Robert is survived by his son Steven Shedd and wife Jayne, daughter Alison Ezell and husband Joseph. He also leaves three grandchildren: Adam Shedd and wife Sophina, Andrew Shedd and wife Tara, and Kathryn Shedd, and 3 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Robert was a World War II Veteran stationed in the Asia Pacific Theater, serving from 1944 through 1945. Upon discharge from the service, Robert returned to the Boston area and attended college under the GI Bill, the first in his family to graduate college. He then became a CPA and worked his way up the corporate ladder retiring in 1988 as the Vice President and Treasurer of The Zayre Corporation (currently The TJX Companies). He was an avid golfer and good family man.

Robert and Marcia retired to Boca Raton, Florida in 1988, subsequently moving to Boynton Beach, Florida.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 10 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, Massachusetts. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, Massachusetts.
