Robert “Bob” Hite of Pompano Beach, FL, formerly of Brookline, MA – Bob Hite, 86, passed away peacefully on March 20th in Pompano Beach, Florida. He was the son of the late Sylvia Hite Sandler and Arnold Hite. Bob is survived by his beloved children: Andy (Rebecca) Hite of Greenwood Village, CO; Lori (Joseph) LoSardo of Mashpee, MA; and Suzanne (Perry) Hooker of Boca Raton, FL and Mashpee, MA. He was a cherished grandfather to Allix Hite, Taylor (Kyle) Hite, Max Hooker, Jack Hooker, Sam Hooker, Hannah LoSardo, and Ally LoSardo. Bob was also the brother of Nancy Grover of Boca Raton, FL.
Born and raised in Boston, MA, Bob graduated from Brookline High School before attending Boston University. In his early adult years, he took over the family business, Hite Radio and TV, in the South End of Boston, which became a cornerstone of the neighborhood's historical society. A respected figure in the local business community, Bob generously donated his time and services to numerous nonprofit organizations, reflecting his commitment to giving back. Known for his larger-than-life personality, exceptional memory, and captivating storytelling, Bob made a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be remembered with love and admiration by his family, friends, and the community.
Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service on Thursday, March 27th, at 11:45 AM at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon. We will gather behind the Administration building. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bob’s memory to a charity of your choice.
