Robert Alan Backman

Beloved husband of Arlene R. (Feyman) Backman. Devoted father of Melissa Warshaw and husband Jason, and Wendy Weisman and husband Mark. Loving brother of Richard Backman and his wife Selma. Cherished grandfather of Noah, Gabriella and Joshua. He was the son of the late Harry and Bessie (Beachman) Backman.

For the past 15 years, Robert worked at Gillette Stadium. He loved Boston sports, especially the New England Patriots. He volunteered at the Boston Marathon for over 10 years. Grilling, cooking, eating, and traveling were some of his favorite things to do, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 2nd at 2:00 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Interment at Sharon Memorial Park.

Shiva will be observed at his late residence on Thursday following burial, continuing on Friday from 12 PM to 5:30 PM, Saturday 6 PM to 9 PM, and Sunday 12 PM to 4 PM. Shiva will take place in New York on Monday from 2 PM to 9 PM at the residence of Melissa and Jason Warshaw.
