Gary,

You were a great guy and wish we had reconnected more later in life. It breaks my heart to hear of your passing, with so much life left to live.. and what a great life you had built for yourself! I was honestly so happy for you. 

I’m grateful for the fun times we had together growing up. You will be remembered and your big hearted nature will live on in myself and many others.

I’ve thought long and hard about what to say about you. That’s probably why it’s taken me so long to put something up here. What I realized is that there are literally no words to express a lifetime of memories with you.

You were my best friend since we were what, 4? 6 years old? That’s nearly 30 years of friendship, and though there was a falter somewhere more recent, we were able to reconcile. I thought I had more for that thought but it means everything that we made up. It just wasn’t the same without you, and I suppose it still won’t be.

You are the reason I’m Squish to your Mush. You’ll forever be my tag-team partner, Squish and Silent Gary. My Herero-life mate. The Lollipop Bros. Eating pretzel rods and playing computer games on your Mac. Or sitting playing 4-person Halo multiplayer on two floors of your house.

You were more than a best friend. You were my brother. I love you, man, and I always will. I will miss you.

Gary made me laugh from the moment I met him. We met at the airport about to board our flight to Israel for birthright. He sat there with a toy turtle on his head and began making us laugh instantly. This laughter would continue for the entire trip. He was unapologetically himself and it inspired and still inspires me. He quickly became everyone’s favourite person on the trip, I can easily say that. Gary kept in touch with myself and members of our group, he was easy going and genuine in that way. I witnessed his love for his beautiful amazing wife Stephanie.... the definition of true love. My heart goes out to his family.... I wrote this so they know how much Gary touched my life and I will be eternally grateful. 

Gary and I became friends at the Congers Dog Park--he was a true friend to our elderly dogs Mocha and Minnie and our younger dog Kenzi.  Mocha and I just returned from the dog park this morning so sad that we won't get to see our dear friend, Gary again.  I always enjoyed our chats there and just can't believe he's gone.  A truly kind soul who cared deeply about his family, his job, and of course, his sweet dog, Dash.

I never had the chance to get to know Gary. We worked at the same organization, and he always had a such a pleasant and upbeat disposition. Gary always said hello to me and it would have been nice to get to know him better. 

I  am deeply saddened to hear about his passing and  my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. 

Gary and I became friends through free poker.  I then met his lovely wife Stephanie and their great dog Dash, as I am a trainer and there were looking for some guidance.   He was a terrific man and I will miss him


I  knew Gary since he was four years old.  I remember Aron and him playing on the floor of his bedroom.  I remember his laughter and funny jokes.  The times he slept over.  He was a true friend to our son.

I am shocked and saddened by this. Gary and I went to New England Tech together and he was always funny and kind. We shared a love of  Sci-Fi  and dogs. Way too young to be taken from us. Thoughts and prayers are with Gary and his family. 

Sorry to hear about Gary.

Saddened to hear about the sudden passing of my nephew, Gary.
When a life ends, its never easy to accept, however with Gary's death, its even more difficult to comprehend.
It hardly seems believable that you are no longer here.

So young, with so many dreams to fill. 

So many to continue to love, to entertain, and to share his wonderful sense of humor.  

Remembering you is easy, as I'll do it everyday. Its just the heartache and thought of not being here, will make losing you never go away.

Now you and your Dad will have lots on which to catch-up, at jokes to laugh, and songs to sing, while looking down and watching over us!
