Jane and Sarah, I am so sorry for your loss.  Eric was a good man, and a great family man, you couldn't help but love him. He sure could make you laugh with his quick wit and one liners. I have so many good memories, he will be greatly missed. My heartfelt condolences to the both of you.

Jane and Sarah,
I am so sorry to hear of Eric’s passing. He was a great friend and a wonderful coworker.  I can recall many times debating with him the correct accounting or how to properly post an unusual event. I have told him in the past it was rare I did not take his advice. Over time I learned every time I did not take his recommendation, I regretted it. He was a brilliant and dedicated member of the Comptroller team.
Know,  the two of you were the center of his life.  He constantly talked about you whenever  we had time to catch up on the family.  He was a great gentlemen and respected by his staff and many of the public servant across the commonwealth.

Eric was the kindest person who was considerate, thoughtful, intelligent, dedicated, hard working, honest and the best lifelong ( more than 65 years) Friend imaginable.  Eric is dearly missed more than words can describe.  A true Friend and Gentleman!  Miss You!!!

Jane and Sarah - your husband and dad was among the best there ever was. He was beloved by his team and by me. To this day, when I talk to other states about how to perform the things that Eric did, I always refer to him.  That way his memory will live on well beyond the 9th floor of 1 Ashburton. Eric was also a friend to all. I miss you good sir. His memory truly is a blessing to all.

Dear Jane & Sarah,
Eric stood out as “A GIANT”  of the Accounting bureau at OSC.  He was authentic, had a childlike sense of humor, original personal style and an ability to take on endless day to day operations along with huge state inter -agency projects made him no ordinary public servant!  He was one of the greats!   We all  shared loads of laughs during our years as colleagues.   From top brass down everyone respected Eric, he was not only likable, he was lovable.   Eric was always a gentleman;  kind, considerate and compassionate.  I won’t forget eating at Rubin’s Deli with Eric, Jane & Joe, nothing but the best!  Or attending a children’s play at the Cape Cod Melody Tent with our children.   Eric was a solid family man.  I’ll miss his occasional phone call to check in and say hello.  Jane was the love of Eric’s life and Sarah was his life’s most precious gift.  I know he is now with  his “approved office wife” Ruth Lee and all his other friends and family.  We will miss you Eric a true earth angel.

Eric Dickstein was an outstanding public servant and a great supervisor to me when I started my first job with the Office of the Comptroller. The words will not describe how grateful I am for his  leadership and professionalism. He will be always in my heart.

Jane and Sarah - I am very sorry to hear of Eric’s passing.  I worked with him for a long time at the Office of the Comptroller and it was a pleasure to do so.  He brought a smile to everyone’s face while still being a wealth of knowledge and the “go-to” person when guidance for a problematic situation was needed.  He was very proud of and spoke of you both often.  He will be greatly missed.

Eric was an outstanding public servant whom I recall with great fondness and appreciation for his service during my time at the Massachusetts office of the State Comptroller.  He stands vivid in my memory for his devotion to his wife Jane and daughter Sarah.  It was an honor to serve with him.

I am so sad to learn of Eric's passing.  I worked with Eric in the Commonwealth for so many years.  I have wonderful memories of our ongoing reconciliations of various Commonwealth accounts.
Eric was professional and smart, with a great humorous side.  
He was a wonderful man.  He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Eric's passing.  He was well respected and loved by the entire comptroller family.  There was never a dull moment with him, he made sure of it, he made me laugh every day.   We still talk of him often.  Eric truly was a gem and I am so sorry for your loss.  This is a photo of our unit in 2014.
