Eli Kaminsky

KAMINSKY, Eli, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, MA passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the age of 103. Beloved husband of the late Rose (Bloom) and the late Adele (Cohen) Kaminsky. Born in Malden, MA; son of the late Hyman and Bessie (Rosen) Kaminsky. A lifelong resident of Stoughton, he graduated from Stoughton High School in 1932. He held various jobs including manufacturing parachutes for the military at Shawmut Woolen Mills, owned a children’s clothing store and a dry cleaning business. He was a long term member of Ahavath Torah Congregation. Devoted father of Eleanor Gallerani and her husband Richard of Stoughton, and Sandra Glen and her late husband Eric of South Carolina. Cherished grandfather of Susan Bushlow, Karen Gallagher, Steven Gallerani, Mark Glen, and Tracy Alt. Proud great grandfather of 10. Loving brother of the late Max Kay, Lillian Silva, and Louis Kay. Eli enjoyed playing cards with friends, telling life stories, and spending time with his family. Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
