Allen was born in Malden to Cecile and Max Rodman on November 22, 1930. He was a graduate of Malden High School, Boston University and Harvard Law School and served in the US Army. He established a successful law practice, which included defending those sick from asbestos or tobacco during his long legal career. Allen had a gregarious yet humble personality and a wonderful sense of humor. Many people benefitted from his wise advice.
He generously supported many charitable causes and was honored by Young Israel of Sharon and Beth Pinchas Chasidic Center at their annual dinners.
His love and devotion to his wife Nita, who predeceased him, were evident throughout their 65 year marriage. Above all things, he cherished time spent with his family. He leaves behind his children, Lisa and Roy Schreiber, Jeffrey Rodman, Steven Rodman and his grandchildren Judd and Jordana Schreiber, Karen and Danny Zwillenberg, Melissa and Yisrael Nagar, Max, Sander and Jay Rodman and Jordan, Jared, and Madison Rodman and his great-grandchildren Amelia, Dean, Isabelle and Cole Schreiber, Jacob, Noah and Emily Zwillenberg and Maya and Noa Nagar.
There will be a private family service due to the pandemic.
