

ALFRED FUCHS, 77, of Westwood, MA passed away on August 15, 2012 after a 2-year battle with cancer. Alfred was born in New York in 1934 to Helen and Siegfried Fuchs. He served honorably in the military as a camera technician, spending much of that time in Japan during the late 1950's. After graduating from Pasadena City College, Alfred moved to Boston.
Alfred worked at the Harvard Coop for 30 years selling electronics. He was the ultimate "people person," engaging in conversations and telling stories with anyone and everyone. There wasn't a person who met Alfred who didn't consider him a friend.
Alfred loved music, history, the Red Sox, and especially his family. He leaves his wife Selma ("Bunny") of 35 years, step-children Jonathan, Ellen and Eric, and grandchildren Matthew, Rafi, and Honey.
Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. Memorial observance will be held at his late residence Friday following interment until 4 PM. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Alfred can be made to Boston Children’s Hospital, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.
