Alan Weisman of Stoughton, MA, entered into eternal rest on March 16, 2023 at the age of 69. Adoring husband and best friend of Michelle (Fineman) Weisman for almost 45 years. Devoted father of Alixe Weisman.
Born in Boston, Alan was the eldest son of Murray and Dorothy (Holtzman) Weisman. Dear brother of David Weisman and his wife Ginny; brother-in-law of Carol Fineman; uncle of Sam Weisman (Jackie Alexander) and Richard Lincks III (Jen); and great uncle of Richard IV, Sophia and Lucien.
Besides his love for his wife and daughter, surfing was his most beloved passion. Surfing since the age of 12, the ocean was home for him.
His fearless attitude helped him endure an 11 year battle with Stage IV lung cancer that had travelled to his brain. He was a warrior, never a complaint throughout countless tests, treatments and procedures. He defied all odds, surpassing his life expectancy of 1 year. His doctors deemed him a “medical miracle” and had never seen someone with his diagnosis thrive the way Alan did. We are forever grateful for his team of incredible humans, in particular, Dr. Michael Rabin and Dr. Raymond Mak.
Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA on Monday, March 20th at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA.
Chapel service will be livestreamed at: https://tinyurl.com/Alan-Weisman
