Son of late Charlotte (Polansky) and Jules Jaffe. Loving husband of Judith S. (Berman) Jaffe for 53 years. Beloved father of Steven and David Jaffe. Cherished grandfather of Jalan, Jordan, Brayden & Jaxson Jaffe. Brother of the late Mitchell Jaffe. Brother-in-law to Ann Berman, and Bob and his wife Barbara Berman. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Alan was born in Worcester, MA on April 18, 1943. He went to Worcester Public Schools and graduated from Classical High School in 1961. In the spring of 1962, he attended Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, VT. He played four years of collegiate baseball and was named to the National Association of Inter-Collegiate Athletics All American Baseball Team in 1966. He was inducted into the Lyndon State College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1991.
Alan was a middle school principal in the Town of Raynham from 1977-2003. He was a coach in Easton Little League Baseball for 13 years as he was a true lover of sport, including being a Red Sox season ticket holder for 25 years. Alan loved his family, talking sports, playing cards, going on walks and having morning breakfasts with his friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 11 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Taunton. Shiva will take place after the funeral services at his late residence. Followed by Wednesday, December 6th and Thursday, December 7th from 2-4pm & 6-8pm.
