Tom was a great joy and gift to everyone who knew him. He was relied on by people all over the valley, from all walks of life. He was an incredibly hard worker and dedicated to his family. Tom treated himself and others with dignity and respect. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at his West Hills home, due to a heart condition. He lived a peaceful, meaningful, and successful life. Tom was dearly loved and will be forever missed.
Tom was born in Malibu Canyon the last of seven into a large Catholic family. He went to Welby Way Elementary, Hale Middle School and El Camino High School. After graduating, he worked in construction with his brothers. Tom purchased land in Minnesota and lived there with family for a brief time before returning to the west valley. He was a jack-of-all-trades including healthcare, limo driver, handyman and collector. He was a talented entrepreneur starting Tom's Entertainment Services and Tom's Hauling Company.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Allen Bednar and his two sisters-in-law, Charlene Bednar and Miriam Bold.
Tom was survived by his mother Noreen Bednar, six siblings James Bednar, Bonita Zepeda, Joe (Ines) Bednar, Monica (David) Stanley, Frank Bednar and Chris Bednar, eight nieces/nephews Anthony (Cassandra) Zepeda, Deanna (Polo) Gomez, Brittney Bednar, Nathan Stanley, Savanna (Bruce) Taft, Jake Bednar, Will Bold and Luke Bednar, five great nieces/nephews Bruce Gomez, Mark Gomez, Robert Gomez, Ethan Zepeda and Eloise Zepeda.
