Beatrice Montibon Rosete, loving wife,mother and grandmother passed away on September 12, 2013. She was 83 years old. She is survived by her husband Orlino ‘Paul’ of 61 years, two children, daughter Stephanie Rosete Stewart (Douglas), son Gordon Rosete (Arlene), four grandchildren, Eric Stewart (JoAnne) & Kimberly Stewart and Shannon & Stuart Rosete.
Born on November 17, 1930 on Oahu, Hawaii. She was the 2nd of six children and survived by her brother Danny, Sisters Winnie and Carmen. Auntie Bea, as she was known to all her friends and family, came to California in 1952 where she married Paul who was in attendance at Northrup Institute. After Paul completed his studies, they moved to Canoga Park to be closer to Paul’s work site at the Rocketdyne, Santa Susana test facility. She lived in Canoga Park for 57 years.
Bea loved to sing, entertain and play her Ukulele at many Hawaiian events and taught ukulele at the Japanese American Community Center, in Arleta. She always had her ukulele in tow and would sing and play anywhere for anybody. If music made you smile, Auntie Bea would play you a song. She loved to crochet, decorate cakes, and was an avid gardner.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Through her music and caring personality she touched many hearts. We miss you mom.
