William "Wally" Wallace Lyons

It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the loss of a great man. William Wallace Lyons, better known as Wally, of Mann Settlement, Quebec passed away at the CHSLD in Matapedia on May 17, 2023 at the age of 67 after a short battle with lung cancer.

Wally was born in Campbellton, NB on April 30, 1956 to the late Bernice (Irvine) and the late Clark Lyons.

He made his career as a school bus driver and transport driver but could put his hand to anything-carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical...even fixing broken toys and watches for the kids on his bus-a real Jack Of All Trades.

He leaves to mourn his common-law spouse, Dixie Richardson, his children Jennifer, Crystal, Sarah, Jason (Christina Gagnon), step-daughter Stephanie (Jeff Stewart), his siblings, Donna, Caroline, Lynn (Calvin Troake), Brian, Joan, Marilyn, Douglas, ex-wife Monika Martynko, Brothers-in-law Douglas Firlotte, David McKeil, Terrance Richardson as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by siblings Heather, Conrad, Vera, Faith, Catherine and Lisa.

A Funeral Service for Wally will be held at Maher’s Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St. Campbellton on Saturday May 27 at 2:00pm with visitations at the Chapel one hour before the service.

The family will welcome family and friends at Mahers Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne Street in Campbellton on Friday May 26 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

Contributions in Wally’s memory can be made to The Children’s Wish Foundation, Hope For Wildlife, A Local Woman’s Shelter or other charity of the donor’s choice.
