He was born in Campbellton on May 5th, 1939, to the late Silfroid Larocque and the late Clara Frenette.
He leaves behind to mourn, brother Bertrand “Timmy" Larocque and his sister Corinne Larocque, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a loving father to Mike (Renee), Marc (Nathalie) and Micheline. He was a special pepere to his grandchildren, Britanny, Danika, Shane, Devin and Jenny. He took great joy in his grandchildren and never missed a special holiday or birthday.
Roger was an avid fisherman and when not spending time with his family, he could be found at the “Boom" with a fishing rod in his hand.
He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He holds a special place in our hearts and we will cherish all of the memories we had the opportunity to make with him. We count ourselves lucky to have had him with us for so long.
As per Roger’s request, there will not be a wake or a service. For those of us who knew him, we knew that he was not one for all that fanfare and made his wishes clear.
If you would like to make a donation in his memory, donations can be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the Canadian Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher's Funeral home, Campbellton.
