Reid was born on November 21, 1965 in Campbellton to the late Yorke Brown and Winnifred Furlong.
Reid attended the UCT Training school , graduated from Sugarloaf Senior High School under the loving guidance of Mrs.Mary Lou Comeau, Mrs. Mae Firth and Mr. Randy Hunter. After graduation Reid worked in the shoe departments of Kmart, Zellers and McRae’s stores. He was employed at Pizza Delight restaurant and attended Chummie and friend’s workshop where he and his coworkers prepared napkins for Dixie Lee restaurant and organized bingo cards for TV bingo. He loved to go to work and looked forward to every shift regardless if it was 8-4 or 10-11. Reid was a bowler and loved to attend special olympics tournaments under supervision of his much loved teacher Reggie Dickson. He was not a hockey player but enjoyed attending the games and dressing in whatever team apparel that suited the occasion, Leaf jersey in one household , Habs jersey in another , he aimed to please everyone. Reid cherished his nieces and nephews and visits from their children who adored him. Upon the occasion of his mother’s passing Reid moved in with his sister Peggy and brother in law Mike O’Connell where he spent 13 beautiful, very active years. Heaven sent an earth angel Sandy Wade to help with his care and he and Sandy became best friends. With failing mobility and health challenges Reid decided to move into Foyer Chez Lillianne reunited with his childhood friends , including “my best friend “ Eddie Durette. This is where he spent his last days where he continued to live a full very active life surrounded by love and kindness. Reid’s eyes lit up with hearts when he saw Danika and , he looked up to Jeremy as his idol.
Reid is survived by his Aunts Pearl Guitard and Amelda Furlong, siblings Danny(Sherley), Robert (Darlene), Paula (Dale) , Heather (Danny), Peggy(Mike), Nancy(Roger), Scott(Barb), several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
