Nancy's love for her family was boundless. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mary, Jim (Sandy), Chris, and Brent; grandchildren, Travis, Shawn, Michael, Genna, Fawn, Kelly, Jamie, Taylor, Maddy, Tyson, and Dustin; and great-granddaughter Harper. She also leaves her brother Don (Bonnie), many nieces and nephews, and the father of her children, Phil Erickson (Gloria).
Nancy was born in Victoria on July 4, 1941, to John Rolland Bruce and Margaret Amy Greensides. Five siblings predeceased her: her parents, her son Richard Erickson, and her husband, John Wersching.
Nancy was a woman of many passions. She spent most of her life on Vancouver Island, making many dear friends. She attended many different schools. Her hobbies, which she pursued with fervor, included cooking, sewing, baking, painting, reading, learning, writing, genealogy, traveling, and bridge. She spent her last 3 years at Berwick By the Sea, in Campbell River where she met many new friends.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be on Sunday, September 29th, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Maritime Heritage Centre, 621 Island Highway, Campbell River.
