Kathleen (Katie) Kim Orland passed away at the age of 64 in Nanaimo, BC on April 7, 2022, with her daughter by her side. She was a transplant recipient, a dialysis warrior, and she battled chronic illness with courage, strength, determination and a joy that was truly inspiring.
She was a heartlight to her husband, a proud mother, grandmother, and sister, and a cherished friend to many. Her beautiful smile was only surpassed by her beautiful spirit. She touched people's hearts everywhere she went.
Words cannot express the hole she left behind. She will be dearly missed, and forever in our hearts.
The family would like to thank Katie’s medical team at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and Dufferin Long-Term Care Home for taking such good care of her and treating her with so much love and compassion.
