Eva Beatrice Wood

Born in West Plains, Saskatchewan on September 15, 1927, Eva passed away peacefully at home in Campbell River on November 15, 2022 with loved ones at her side.

She is predeceased by her parents Bert and Eva Baker, her siblings, in-laws, husband Mike and son Tom.

Eva’s greatest love was her family and nothing made her happier than spending time with them. Her unconditional love, kindness, delicious homemade bread, pineapple fluff and crocheted dishcloths are just a few of the many things that will be missed by all who knew her.

She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her son Gord, daughters Janet (Jim) and Annette (Gerry), former daughter in-law Pat; grandchildren Richard (Dana), Renee (John), Steven, Rhonda (Craig), Scott (Jenn); great-grandchildren MacKenzie (Zach), Kaylie (Walker), Lewis (Rachel), Emily (Anthony), Owen (Maria), Cassidy, Abby, Ava, Zachary and Lukas; great-great granddaughters Dahlia and Aspen; sister-in-law Diane and dear friend Jill, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

We’d like to give special thanks to the homecare workers and palliative team who took such good care of mom during the past 6 months. And to Kathy Mooney, who was our rock, there are not enough words to express our gratitude.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation.

No service will be held at moms request.
