I went to Woodbridge High School with Tom who, even in those days, was interested in engineering.  My most vivid memory was him driving a 25 year old car (1938, but I forget the make) to school in stark contrast to others with more modern transportation.  Tom was a great guy, fondly remembered by his many friends, who always hoped to see him at a high school reunion.  Deepest condolences to his family.

This is Mike Oliver entering. I considered Tom one of my closest friends at St. Cecelia's. Although we went to different high schools we wound up at the same college, Villanova University, were Tom demonstrated what a true 'brainiac' he was. While he was getting a degree in Civil Engineering, I majored in fraternity. His experience took him to employment with the State of Pennsylvania, I believe. My life experiences have brought me to the Seattle, Washington area where I received a second degree from Seattle U. and made a career in freight transportation. 

I remember playing little league baseball with Tom and spending many winter days ice skating on Freeman's Pond with him and other pals. He was talented in every way and I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing.

I do have more bad news as I just returned from New Jersey (6/16/10) where we had a reunion of old friends to remember Joe Diaz (St. Cecelia's Class of 1959) who passed away last October. In attendance was Ray Caffrey, Barbara (Van Pelt) Caffrey, Ed Gorski, Jackie (Flood) Gorski, Gordon Nienburg, Joe Clemens, Vic and Carol Janson, Bob Kelly, Tom Tarrant, Tony Oleck and myself. We were all members of Father DeMarcelis' "Goon Squad" at the CYO.

My sincerest sympathy goes to Tom's entire family.

Dear Dot, Chris, Megan and the TenEyck family: I am so sorry for your loss.  Tom was such a wonderful man, husband and father.  My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

My name was Loretta DiFino, I graduated with Tom in 1959 from St Cecelia's in Iselin and WHS in 1963 in Woodbridge.  We knew each other as children and teens. I was so sorry to receive this news from a friend in NJ.  I live in Washington DC.  He was the smartest and nicest guy.  We used to shoot BB guns in Colonia.
Again, he leaves a warm memory in my heart and many others.

We had a visit with Tom, two weeks ago. He was quite the host and shared his pride and love for his son, daughter and grandchildren.

Dear Dot, Chris, Megan and Family: 
Please accept our heart felt sympathy.
After being Tom's secretary for numerous years in the Office of Planning I got to know Tom really well... I can truly attest for Tom's love for his family.  I will always remember whenever he was going to a lenthy meeting he would ALWAYS remind me IF - Dot, Chris or Megan called - please come and get him out of the meeting.. We would compare notes as to what could happen next with the "kids".. Chris, who would make him wonder when his next accident on his "over terrain vehicle" and Megan on the soccer field.. No matter how many run ins we'd have - I always remembered that if in the end he agreed he'd come to me and apologize..He always said, "I like people who stand up to me and tell the TRUTH".. I would tease him and tell him he was really a softy and that he "wore The Mask" and under that mask Tom was a gentle person.. I'm sure whether you are family, friends or just a business associate there is something of memory of Tom that will sustain you.  I say to Dot, Chris, Megan - Family and Friends:
  ~ When dawn is breaking, may sadness subside, and in your troubled hearts may peace reside.  And when the day is done, may sorrow have passed~ for it will fade but LOVE will always last... Stan and I are thinking of you w/our love and deepest sympathy.

Dot, Chris and Megan...I'm so sorry for your loss.  Tom was always so nice and friendly and I am sure you will miss him greatly.  Sending hugs from far away...Meredith Zamboni

I have such GREAT memories of Mr. Ten Eyck from our many times together at SFC. He always made me laugh and I will remember him always-- with a smile. All my love to you and your mom and brother, Megan. Love you all.
