Born April 18, 1941, in Williamsport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Kathryn Green. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Steven C. Kocher, of Camp Hill, and their four children, Lori Kocher and Kim Bedford of Mechanicsburg, Marc Kocher and wife, Barbara, of Camp Hill, Susan Kocher of Bloomsburg, and Douglas Kocher and wife, Kirsten, of Camp Hill. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Ross Kocher, Benjamin Kocher, Brynn Li Rae Kocher, Jena Bedford, Jacob Kocher, Gabriel Kocher and Kathryn (Katy) Kocher.
Additionally, she is survived by four siblings, Henry Green and wife, Janet, of Williamsport, Darlene Dodson and husband, Ralph, of Williamsport, Edward Green of Williamsport, Shawanna Sholder and husband, Maurice, of Oval, and many nieces and nephews.
Judy was a graduate of Williamsport High School, class of 1959. She enjoyed supporting her children and grandchildren in their various endeavors as well as following Bloomsburg University Softball. Weekends and summers were spent camping and enjoying her grandchildren poolside. She adored her Bichon Frise dogs, Spencer and Barkley, who preceded her in death. Her colorful personality showed in all that she did and was reflected in the bright, beautiful colors that she frequently wore.
Judy was a member of the Camp Hill United Methodist Church choir and a former member of the Lower Allen Football Ladies Auxiliary. Additionally, she was employed by the West Shore School District, Lemoyne Sleeper, and Continental Medical Systems.
The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the Claremont Nursing Center, specifically Dr. Kenneth Harm and the fourth floor staff, for their outstanding care.
Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 30, 2012, at Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 S. 22nd Street, Camp Hill. Family will receive guests from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In Judy's honor, guests are encouraged to wear bright attire. Interment will be done at the convenience of the family.
