Born in Harrisburg, PA to Richard and Debra (Brown) Prye, he was a Junior at Red Land High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel A. Prye, of Eaton, NY.
Surviving Connor are his loving parents; his brother, Logan D. Prye of Etters, PA; his grandparents, William (Whitey) J. Brown Sr. and Dorris (Idzi) Brown of Waterville, NY; his grandmother, Beverly L. (Lallier) Prye of Eaton, NY; his aunts and uncles; William J. Brown Jr. and Marianne Brown of Clinton, NY, Karen and Jeff Kuhn of Sauquoit, NY; Lisa and Gary Prye of Pulaski, NY; and his cousins, Kelsey and Peter Whitaker, Lindsey Prye and Matt Guarasce of Pulaski, NY and Sandy Creek, NY, Brett Kuhn and Paige Kuhn of Sauquoit, NY.
Connor was an outstanding athlete and avid outdoorsman. He excelled at baseball for the 10 years that he played, including several district and section championships and one state title team in little league. He also was a key player on his travel baseball teams, which included several tournaments championships, playing the key positions of pitcher and catcher. He also was a standout in basketball for Red Land High School and Team PA’s AAU Travel Basketball Program. He was also very active in Red Lands Youth Basketball Program, spending many weekend mentoring the future kids of the program. We had a coach read out to us telling us that his coaching career, “we truly build on the backbone of Connor.”
Connor also loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. He was a loyal friend, teammate, citizen and family member. He had a heart of gold, was a free spirit in every sense, and never missed an opportunity to participate in a little good natured “ribbing” with his well-known smile on his face. He only took the important things in life seriously, a trait we should all follow.
Connor will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and most certainly the community. He truly made an impact on anyone he came in contact with.
