Wes Green

Peacefully passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Mary Lou Green for over 59 years. Loving dad of Lynne (Dave Thompson) and Jennifer. Cherished grandpa of Ericka, Jessie, Jeremy, Christopher, Carolyn and Steven. Survived by siblings Canon Howard Green (Jean), Blanche Keays, George Green, Elgin Green (Janet), Mildred Nicholls and sister-in-law Sheila Green. Predeceased by brother Alan Green and sister Grace Austin and by parents Arthur (Arlie) and Amy Green. Wes was proud of his career as a printer. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course, along with gardening, carpentry, bridge, and traveling. He was an enthusiastic fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. He was a long-time member of Trinity Anglican Church and the Trinity Social Club. A sincere thank you to Dr. Achtymichuk, Dr. Vizel and the 3rd and 5th floor nurses at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for your care and to Rev. Frank Squires for all your support. The Green family will receive relatives and friends at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge for visitation on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 2-4 pm. Funeral service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 12 Blair Road, Cambridge on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 2:30 pm. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Trinity Anglican Church or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
