Thomas James Burscough

Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Kathleen Satchwell and loving father of Tom of Cambridge, Dianne Simac and her husband Peter of Kitchener. Also survived by his grandchildren Peter and Jane, Joe and Sarah, Thomas and Joanne and great-grandchild Luka, his sister Ellen Bagley of Cambridge. Pre- deceased by his parents, Andrew and Mary Burscough and two brothers, Andrew and Patrick. Tom was born in India and was very proud of it, on September 15, 1932 and has lived in Cambridge since 1971. He was retired from Budd's of Kitchener, and greeted everyone with a smile and a joke. A member of the Condcord Masonic Lodge. Tom was a joker and strong supporter of Manchester United of England. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home , 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Clement's R.C. Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. Parish prayers will be recited at the funeral home Thursday evening at 8:30 p.m.
