Susan was a strong-minded and caring individual. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, of whom she was so proud. Susan enjoyed listening to a variety of rock music, and was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens. She worked for several years as a bank teller for TD Bank before taking an early retirement. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Jennifer Drummond (Clay Roy), son Jeffrey Drummond (Alyse Collins), daughter Julie Martin, grandchildren Ronin Walsh, Declan Walsh, Rosie Roy, and Memphis Martin, mother Margaret Hastings, brothers Ted Hastings (Fern Darnell), Peter Hastings (Sara Higgins), and James Hastings, nephews Adam Hastings and Peter Hastings-Clarke, nieces Kim Mitchell and Jessica Hastings-Clarke, great-niece Ainsley Mitchell, and many more extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her father Gerry Hastings in 2017. Cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives are invited to a Celebration of Susan’s Life at Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Road, Cambridge) on Monday, January 20th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
