Russell Thomas Wales

Russell, 67, tragically died in a motorcycle accident on September 4, 2023. Russell was the son of deceased Thomas and Mathilda (Roads) Wales. Russell's desire from an early age was to be a mechanic. He fulfilled that dream and took it to the next level when he became his own boss. Russell worked diligently to make this leg of his journey successful. Indeed, Russell Auto (Preston), was a successful venture and he remained loyal to his customers and Rob Keating, his right hand man for over 25 years. He valued his customers who became like family through multiple generations. No job was too big or too small to warrant his full attention. Russell was also known for his love of music. He was an accomplished guitar player and had, at one time, 21 guitars. He loved the different tones he could coach out of each one. Russell has left his mark on may hearts, from his employees, friends, family, customers and suppliers, he will be greatly missed. Russell is survived by his wife Pamela Dent, three step sons and seven grandchildren. Nathan was his special grandson who Russell was, and always will be, his Papa. Cherished memories are left with his niece Katherine. Also survived by his sisters Cassandra Roads and Jane Bakewell (Darrol). Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, on Friday, September 15 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. As per Russell's request, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to one's favorite charity are greatly appreciated.
