He is survived by his beloved wife of 75 years, Margaret Kirkorian Pagett, his daughter, Anne Miatello (Brian), grandsons Josiah Markle (Sivan) and Caleb Markle (Shan Yi), sister-in-law Isobel Spain and numerous nieces and nephews. The youngest of eight children, Robert was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Rose Ellen Bant Pagett, brothers Charles (Margaret), William (Mabel), Thomas (Kay), Harold (Mary) and Arthur (Sylvia), sisters Elsie Aves (Albert) and Florence Davey (Fred), brothers-in-law George Kirkorian (Ann), Richard Kirkorian (Gloria) and William Spain, and sister-in-law Virginia Garraway (Harry).
A kind and gentle man, Robert lived a long and happy life, blessed with good health, a close-knit family, and friends who were more like family. Family was the cornerstone of his life, and his grandsons were his greatest joy. Robert held cherished memories of family vacations spent at Stoney Lake and fishing expeditions at his brother-in-law Harry's fishing club. He was also an avid bowler, winning many trophies. Robert was a man of a bygone era, a true reflection of his generation, and his life was defined by the timeless values he held dear. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we will remember forever the love he shared, the values he upheld, and the joy he brought into our lives.
