Robert George Ball

Robert George Ball passed away peacefully of natural causes on December 7, 2015 at the age of 89. Born December 27, 1925, Robert was a lifelong resident of Preston. He worked for Bell Canada and was a member of the Bell Pioneers. Robert was also actively involved with the Preston Legion Branch #126. Baseball and golf were his passions, especially the Toronto Blue Jays.

Robert is deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Marjorie Ball, and their two children Gary (Mary Ellen) Ball of Port Dover, Ontario and Nancy (Burk) Gronau of Kitchener, Ontario. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Robert is predeceased by two sisters and his big black Labrador retriever, Rocky, who he loved very much.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in Robert’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation through Barthel Funeral Home (519) 653-3251.
