Beloved husband of Agnes "Peggy" Anderson. Loving father of Gary and his wife Margaret of Cambridge. Also survived by his grandson Jeremy. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Phoebe Hedges, brother Harold Hedges and sisters Marion Hedges and Bernice Barlow.
Richard was born on December 21, 1919 in Galt and has lived most of his life in the area. He served with the RCAF for 5 years during WWII and had a very successful career as a tool and die maker with McGraw Edison - Simplicity Products.
The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Monday, November 1, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The War Amps www.waramps.ca or to your local Royal Canadian Legion Poppy fund.
