It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Alexander Whittet Jr. on Tuesday May 21, 2024. He is survived by his loving son Tyler Whittet, father Raymond Whittet Sr., brother Stephen Whittet, sister Tara (Nick) Waddell, nephew James Whittet, niece Stacey Whittet and pre-deceased by his adoring mother, Margaret Whittet (nee Deans).
Raymond was born in Johnstone, Scotland and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1964 where they settled in Cambridge, Ontario.
He spent many years on the golf course making pars, birdies, eagles and even made 3 hole-in-ones. He also enjoyed being in dart leagues, playing poker and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Raymond was a proud and meticulous International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 128 of 40+ years.
He will be fondly remembered by family and friends. There will be a memorial visitation at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Wednesday May 29th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
