Patricia is the beloved wife and best friend of over 52 years to Francis (Frank) Whalen. Loving mother of Michelle Vieira and Paul Whalen (Judy). Proud "Ma" of Candice (Shawn), Paul Jr. (Erin), Brian (Ashley), Nicholas and Alexander, and Great grandmother of Jackson, Kai-ya, Maya, Knox, Silas and Easton. Patricia is also survived by her brother, James Mercer (Catherine) and sisters-in-law, Patricia Mercer, Ida Ezekiel,and Gladys Whalen, and will be fondly remembered by many, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Ann Mercer (nee Byrne) and brother, Edmond Mercer. Family was everything to Patricia, and she will be forever loved and missed.
Patricia's family will receive friends at the T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main St., Cambridge ,on Monday, March 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Prayers will be recited at 8pm at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 27th at 10:30 am at St. Patrick's RC Church, 53 Wellington St., Cambridge. Committal will follow at Parklawn Cemetery, after which a reception will be held at the Cambridge Newfoundland Club, Dunbar Rd.
