Margaret passed away peacefully, on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Stirling Heights LTC in her 91st year. Margaret is reunited once again with her cherished son, Alex (1968) and her beloved husband, Alex Topley (2014).
Margaret was a devoted and loving mother to Gail Beckett (Rick) and Alexandra Longlade (Bob), and an amazing grandmother to Hunter (Skye), Maddison (Ty), Brianna, Michael, and Morgan. She will be lovingly remembered by her dear brother Robert Wilson, predeceased by his partner, Nan.
Margaret was a woman who lived her life with heart and style. She loved being outside in her garden, listening to music, and enjoying the simple pleasures of a good cup of tea or a glass of wine. She was always up for a good party and brought energy and warmth to every gathering. Margaret spent many years working in retail, where she built strong connections with the people she served and always had a friendly word for everyone. She was known for her strong spirit, her sense of fun, and the pride she took in always looking her best. Her hair was always done, her lipstick just right, and she carried herself with style and grace.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Stirling Heights for their compassionate care, and to her special friends, Gerda Weins and Sherrie Amandola, for their love and support.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the MS Society would be appreciated by the family.
