Joseph "Joe" Hugh Peden

Joe, beloved partner of Catherine Lynn (Hall) Mitchell and devoted stepfather to Matthew Evan Serge Mitchell, Sarah Lynn Mitchell and Megan Amy Mitchell, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, July 9th, 2015 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Ralph Taylor Peden and Viletta Jean (Sims) Peden, and his sister, (Betty Lou) Elizabeth Lucille (Peden) Milne. He is survived by his brother, Daniel Sims Peden (and wife Kathy Grant) of Manitoulin. Joe will be sadly missed by his niece, Dione (Milne) Decock and nephews, Mark Milne, Bradley Peden and Brian Peden. In honour of Joe’s wishes, cremation has taken place with a memorial service to follow at Mount View Cemetery in Cambridge on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 3:00p.m. with refreshments immediately following at Joe's residence, 16 Beasley Crescent, Cambridge N1T 1J9. In Joe’s memory, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre and/or Cambridge Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
